study harder

This is ALWAYS a goal for me, even though I study very hard and get good results because of it. My short term goals for the coming semester are to get up to scratch on my journal reading, because I’m very slack in that area. My short term goal last year was to read the paper every day and try to watch more educational programs. I managed the first and am LOVING IT… but fell down a bit on the second – I’d still rather watch The Biggest Loser or So You Think You Can Dance. sigh My love of trash tv will never subside. I need some apple sauce with my steak, y’know?

At the end of last term I had a meeting with the acting overseers which has resulted in me getting a mentor for my studies. My new mentor was actually my HSC Ancient History teacher, so that’s promising some good organization and ass kicking for the rest of the year.

I’ve pretty much decided to take next year off studying, which really takes the pressure off the never ending spiral of getting things done for school; 14 consecutive years is enough for a while.

Trying to make it happen.

This isn’t going so well for me, I need to make some short term goals and outline how I intend to pragmatically approach this goal.

My goal in studying harder includes practical components as well as written; I find it really hard to prioritize music because I lack confidence in doing well. I hope to see this attitude change as I continue working with my tutor, attending my classes, and generally improving in the subject.
