Sophie actually picked up a spoon (with food already on it) and put it in her mouth today! I have never seen her do this before and she FINALLY, FINALLY did it! Three times at school! WHoo-hoo!

She will stand with her sippy cup in her hands, turn it all the way around, take a sip, then continue turning it. It is really cute. I guess that’s a new movement that she’s developed this week.
She is also moving her mouth like she’s trying to talk! I can’t wait for ht!
My son decided he wanted one of three pictures we drew together tonight because he liked my cars :-D
Yesterday, I saw my daughter pick up a brush and run it through her hair…I have NEVER seen her do that before!
And today, when she went in the bathroom for bathtime, she picked up her toothbrush and put it in her mouth and chewed on it – another first!
What a week for Sophie!
My daughter has finally, FINALLY…started making real talking sounds. Her first is “ma” – lol, its official, everyone around her is hearing it now :-D
I think I might just burst with happiness and excitement!
My beautiful, sweet daughter who still isn’t speaking told me just how much she loves me…by walking over with her cute, shy smile, and pulling my face to her and hugging me and humming :-)
My son (6) pulled my face down to his level as we were sitting on the couch and covered my face with kisses, just because he “loves Mama.” I just love these out of the blue moments :-)
My daughter has started doing a number of things that are good signs – well, to me at least. She has started turning lights on and off, and she’s started carrying a blanket around with her and playing with it, putting it over her head and pulling it off. It is so cute to watch.
The light switch she picked up pretty quickly, which made me incredibly happy. It is the tiny steps she takes that really just light up my life. :-)
The picture is her wearing her new braces and showing Mama that she can do anything she wants, even in braces …sigh.
My son brought me a “Cat in the Hat Knows A Lot About That” book this afternoon. He wanted me to read it to him because it has a song about hand washing in it and my singing “is the best!”
:-D
lol, he’s the only person in the world, bless his dear little heart, that would think that
I laid beside my son as he was getting ready for bed (he’s five), and he read “The Ant and the Grasshopper” to me. I loved watching his face and listening to his childish voice…it was absolutely incredible watching his expressions change as he read and listening to his intonations and seeing how absorbed he was in the story.
