that I do a spectacular job in recognizing everyone special days (even if the cards are going to be late). I am going to make a remarkable effort and be successful at this finally. If I can quit smoking, lose weight, and finish college, I should be able to get birthday cards, anniversary cards, and other special event cards in the mail; in a timely manner.

This is my most successful year at getting out birthday and anniversary cards in a timely manner. I still missed a couple and was late a few times, but I did much better than I have ever done. I am hoping that 2013 will be even better. I have tried to incorporate my daily planner into my daily routine. The planner has really helped. I need a new one for next year. I have picked it out, and my daughter and granddaughter are going to get that for me for Christmas. Its the perfect gift. Something I need, something I will use, and something I would buy for myself that fits into the only buy things I need goal.
I am going to sit down this weekend and send out the couple belated cards, and I am going to get the next couple of weeks cards ready. I have done better at this so far than I have ever done, but I can still improve.
I am doing much better this year than I have ever done. I am getting very good about checking my appoinment book several times a week. I still have been last minute on several cards, but up to now I missed almost everyone’s special days. I am going to make even more of an effort with this “Thing.” I want to make sure that I get this down really firm before calling it complete. I want to even include a timely mailing of the Christmas and Holiday cards this year. I used to get them all done on the weekend of Thanksgiving, but somehow I got out of that habit. I want to return to that habit and then I will be able to enjoy the other traditions of the holiday without stressing about cards.
I am sending out a couple of cards that should have already been in the mail. I lagged behind while we were away last week. I am going to make out the cards on my lunch break at work and get them in the mail on my way home. I used to just give up and not send a card once it was late, but now I send them out anyway. It feels better and more and more of my cards and notes are done in a timely manner.
The Postal Worker thinks both the Birthday cards I sent out today will get there on time. The other two cards are not day specific, just a thank you and a I’m proud of you card. I got home and realized that I have 3 more Birthday cards I need to send out. They will have to be in the post by tomorrow. I already have the cards; so I just need to drop them at the Post offfice on my way to work. This is the year I am going to complete this thing.
Cards will be late but they are going out in the mail today. I did not have these two birthdays on my calendar. They have been added and I am going to send out their cards (better late than never). I am determined to be able to mark this “Thing” accomplished by the end of this year.
I have been trying to do this for years. I have not tried hard enough because it is on my New Years Resolution list every year. This is the year I am going to make a big effort. I also got volunteered for the events committee at work. I am trying to get everyone in our building a birthday card from all of us. We will see if doing it for work will help me remember to check the dates regularly for my family and friends as well.
I need to find a prominent place in my home for a calander. I can’t believe how fast the months fly by and I have missed another set of birthdays or anniversarys. I have given this a lot of thought lately, and I think the best place for a calander and my greeting card box is by the washer and dryer. I go there at least several times a week. I could put everything (including stamps) by the washing machine on the corner of the folding table. I am always down there waiting for the washer to finish so I can throw the clothes in the dryer. I can now make good use of that time. I hope this works.
I am already at March and I think I have missed at least 6 birthdays. I am going to send out unbirthday cards to the ones I have missed so far. I am determined to achieve this goal by the end of the year.
