OK, I have now been surfing a little to find out what vets and the like in Denmark recommend if a cat is scratching the furniture – and nowhere (fortunately!) have I found a recommendation for declawing! Phew… Instead, amongst a lot of other suggestions, there was actually one that included wrapping the area being “attacked” in aluminium foil?! Interesting :oD
But that brings me back to my question from my earlier comment to sharryfairy’s entry – how widespread is the use of declawing, does anyone know??
