Wella curl defining wax mixed with Garnier Smooth and Sleek serum, Dove Conditioner. The serum on its own doesn’t define curls, but makes them soft, makes the wax go further. 3/5.

I need to learn how to wear it curly, as straightening isn’t always possible – it’s good for a change but not every day. I am sick of people telling me I need to straighten my hair! It makes me want to whack them on the head with my searing hot ceramic iron. I’ve been through phases of having it curly but then they take my product off the market or I experience sudden lack of incompetance with styling.

I want to learn how to style it in a way that is appropriate for work but often find that products let me down. I’ve been pulling it back into a bun since high school – enough is enough! As I work in an office setting, personal presentation is important and I don’t want my hair to let me down. I’m aiming for Halle Berry or Beyonce, not Sideshow Bob.
