enjoy the first quarter of 2008 by having one new and fulfilling experience in January, February, and March

...the introduction of Comfy Tuesday to the week, which was new and definately fulfilling, if for no other reason than it’s super comfy!!
It also brought a band trip to Florida over spring break, which was so much fun!! That brought a whole bunch of new experiences within an experience…Universal Studios, seeing fireworks with someone I love, being in Florida with my friends, and so much more. I could write all day about that trip and how “new and fulfilling” it was!

Well, this (last?) month has been a complete and total whirlwind. I’m not even exactly sure where to begin with it all. With everything moving as fast as it all was, the “big” moments in my life we all “small things that were noticed”. (Thank you, Markus Zusak, for that perfect quote to go there.)

I went on a walk one day with my love, where we laughed and talked and blew off things that were far more pressing but much less important. We swung on the swimgs and I flew off trailing laughter and then landing in it (not to mention the mud). The laughter and the kisses followed me home and carried me through the gloomy days to follow.

I read I Am the Messenger again, and that is always a “new and fulfilling experience” because it changes as I change, for it is as much my book as it is Ed Kennedy’s or Markus Zusak’s. Every single time I pick it up, it is new and more fufilling than it was last time.

I splurged on me, which I never do. I’m more of a spend on other people or spend as you go kind of girl, but I saved up and then really splurged on me. I bought a nice new camera, which will be great for various trips and for my goals on here, and a new cell phone. It felt good to just step back and spend a little on myself.

FOR MARCH: Well, who knows? Trip to Florida for one, and we’ll go from there!

January was certainly a new and fulfilling month! The best experience of the month was a trip that I took with my love. We drove to a ski resort and speant some time skiing. It was great to do something active, and we had a great time. We talked, laughed…it was unbelievable. On the way down, we had probably our biggest fight, but that was okay because we worked everything out and happened to learn something about each other and ourselves. Being in love is such an experience in itself because it is so revealing. We complete each other, and the fight on the way there revealed that in a lot of ways.

Also in January: my first mini road trip with my girls, passing a major work inspection with flying colors, and taking some initive and action. The first month of any given new year is always amazing, and it is inspiring to me to be taking some steps to keep myself in this place all year.
