I’m reading books on coding. I’m a java programmer, so I’m trying to learn how to design better rather than just “write code that’s not buggy”. It seems to me, from observing others, that if you design well and think about what you’re doing instead of just hacking away that your code tends to be “better” and you grow as a programmer. I’m mostly looking at XP with people from work to see if we can get anything out of it to learn to be better programmers together.
