I’m rereading Handmaid’s Tale right now because I need to pick out some specific details for my essay I’m writing!
I’m reminded again of how great this book is, wow!
Negotiating With the Dead will be picked up again once Handmaid’s is finished. Probably in a couple days!

I found a copy of ‘Up in the Tree’ by Atwood. It’s a super cute children’s book! It made me laugh out loud. I think I read the whole thing in 2 minutes. Nice and easy for the little ones.
I bought it for a friend’s daughter for her birthday. So cute!

I actually really got into this book about halfway through. Some parts are just so Atwoodian, they had me laughing outloud. And I loved that the sections were all named after quilting patterns… excellent!
What really appealed to me about this book was the descriptions about early life in Canada. I love that the descriptions were so accessible for the reader, and I believe they were quite accurate as well.
A good book. Oryx & Crake is still my favourite, but I liked this one!
Now I’m on to Negotiating With the Dead: A Writer on Writing

I started reading Alias Grace last week. It really didn’t look interesting, but like all of Atwood’s work, I’m really getting into it!
I’m also reading a book of her poetry, it’s a big collection of her works that I got for $10 on sale. Good deal!
I’ll update as I finish those two books!
