I could sleep. And I wish I felt better.

Well, I’m a bit of a klutz when it comes to line dancing, so just for kicks I looked up The Electric Slide on youtube to see if I could learn this at home. I found these awesome videos from “StepInTheNameOfLife”. They are light hearted and positive. This is a way to have some fun at home, while working on fitness. When I put this video on, I found out that Darling 1 doesn’t have much line dancing experience either, so she joined me in the Cupid Shuffle. Now I want to order the instruction video.
Yes, I know. My commitment is spotty. But re-engaging is better than nothing. With some careful planning, I might even stick with it for a while.
I went to my doctor this week for an annual checkup, and I am 10 lbs lighter than last year. Thanks SparkPeople!
I am still working my 65 hour week, I’m feeling good enough today to re-engage in SparkPeople. The most beneficial thing I have found so far, is to drink 8 cups of water daily. During these heavy work times, I haven’t been able to do this and I can feel the difference energy-wise.
- Back to SparkPeople for a 10 day commitment(Hopefully with a buddy)
- Make doctors appointments – GP and gyn
- make mammogram appointment
- Haircut and waxing
- Finally do the daily walk (Yes, I can!)
- Do five gratitudes daily
- Consciously find inspiration every day
This is day 3 of my SparkPeople four day mini challenge. It is going well. After this four days, I’m going to challenge myself for four work days in a row. Work makes me really hungry, so I’ll have to build on the success of my first four days.
I’m loving my water drinking goal. It’s a relly good habit to develop.
Today I took Audrey on a walk. Cranked up the MP3 and enjoyed the scenery. I wonder how hard it would be to make this a habit.
That’s what it all seems to be about, habits and routines. I have never been that kind of person. As a matter of fact, I’ve been darn balky about habits and routines. And it has been to my detriment. The hardest part is kicking off and following through.
I’m writing about this today, because I find I am more successful if I challenge myself with my 43T friends watching and supporting. This is a four day mini-challenge to follow my SparkPeople. No excuses. I have four relaxed days to establish better self control.
I tried to start going to a Weight Watchers meeting. Well, darn it, the location changed since I last did WW and I did not know where it had moved to. It takes a big motivational push to get me to try something like this, so I was really disappointed
On the way home, I bought some salmon, celery, dill pickles, cherry tomatoes…I really need to/want to lose weight.
I’m working on my determination to meet certain goals, like take better care of myself. I decided to look up SparkPeople, recommended to me by 43T’s own RuthG. What a great find! I’ve got myself signed up and started. This may be all I need and it’s free.
toward exercise and diet is my goal here. I want to accomplish specific things with exercise and diet. First, I really want to increase my energy level. That would give me the incentive to continue putting diet and exercise into action. It would be a positive feedback loop. Then, I would like to see if better diet and more exercise would help my thinking to become clearer and more creative. The health benefits will follow.
It has been a near perfect spring in St. Louis, mostly sunny with mild temperatures. Walking while listening to NPR on my MP3 is my chosen exercise method at this time. I need to take advantage of the good weather to help me make good diet and exercise a habit!!
