today. It’s one of the things in life that really puts a spring in my step and a smile on my face. Just to know that you are HELPING somebody, somewhere at some ponit in time makes it all worth while!
I really don’t know why some people are too lazy to do this.
I would make it the law that everyone had to donate who could.
A good mate of mine really got my fired up last week when, whilst sat in the pub, he told me he had a very rare blood type, but he didnt donate. So I gave him a mouthful and told him I’d drag his lazy arsedown with me the next time I go. I donated last week and its something so specil when you see the filled up bag and you know that you will be helping someone. A bag of blood is a wonderful gift!!!!
I am never taking this goal off my list.
I went to give blood today in the near by church. GiveBlood have a mobile service where they travel from town to town every few months so people who can’t always get into town, can conviniently go a little closer to home. I completely fogot that i had just finished taking 2 weeks worth of antibiotics last week, and the regulations are that you need to be 2 weeks clear from taking antibiotics, or you cannot donate. Gutted! It wasn’t so much the fact fact I travelled down especially to give blood, but just the fact that I couldn’t DONATE. Nevermind, I’ll just have to wait until next week when my blood is completely clear of them.
This is really important to me. As I have a rare blood type, I need to donate as much as possible starting tomorrow when I find out the nearest blood donating place shop thing and do it. I’ve done it alot before but it’s not good enough, and saying I don’t have the time is simply not a good enough answer. It’s laziness. Plain and simple.
Stop it and go do it!
