make 2008 MY year of victory !

Ok, headshots are done, now I have to pick my favourite and sent them out with letters.

Ok, not really much to shout about so far…
Met a girl who rocked my world but shes not ready for close relationships with anyone yet after a break up at Christmas with her ex of 5 years. That’s fair enough, I’ve been there before.
So not much luck on the women front.
Work has been OK.
The savings were doing well…until now.
The cars been eating a bit of money but has been a lifesaver, but now this has arrived…
Finally after 9 years, my football team has got to the champions league final and I promised myself the last I was 15 and I couldn’t go, that I’d go to the next one. and it’s in Moscow!
And I was lucky enough to be allocated a match ticket after thousands and thousands and people applied for one. and I got one!
Plus 5 of my friends got one each.
So the flights are booked.
Liverpool to Berlin. A night in Berlin. Then to Moscow. Match against the cockneys. Night in Moscow and then a night in Vienna on the way back home.
It’s totally going to ruining my savings, but, hey, what the hell!
It’s only a once in a lifetime opportunity!!!
And I’m taking it.
Now all I need to get is my Visa sorted!

I’ll admit that 2007 wasn’t my year of victory but to be fair it has been on of the better years I’ve had this decade. Things I can be proud of doing in 2007 are:

Getting my driver’s licence.
Paying off alot of my overdraught.
Being in a postion to buy a brand new car.
Keeping the band together and making some really brilliant new music that I can stand beside and say I’m proud of.
Becoming a better son. This is probably due to me being a bit more happier with life.I really do feel I have become closer to my Mother and Father and that makes me happy.
Also having the best relationship with one of my brothers that we’ve ever shared, ever.
Getting a new job which is opening up far more opportunites for the new year.

So things ain’t so bad. Lets look ahead.

Things to aim for in 2008:

Career to get stronger and consistent.
Get a car.
I would like to find a girl who makes me tick again. 2007 has really been about making new girl friends/sharing good times and then moving on. I’d make a girl a more permanent feature in my life, rather than a 2 week fling thing.
Visit my family in Ireland and iron out what’s left to be ironed out!
