This is one of my favorite quotes by Anais Nin. It is powerful and beautiful. I am lucky enough to have a man, who thinks there is nothing sexier than a woman who challenges everyone around her, including herself. Infact, when we started dating, he told me he never met a woman more demanding, more sure of herself, more controlling, and more pushy. I remember the conversation very well because I asked him Is that a bad thing?

Nooooo! He said. Good, cause I’m not changing I said. (:

It’s ironic how he finds that extremely sexy, while I think a man that can handle that type of woman is extremely sexy. Win-win!!

What I Know For Sure

1. What you put out comes back all the time, no matter what.

2. You define your own life. Don’t let other people write your script.

3. Whatever someone did to you in the past has no power over the present. Only you give it power.

4. When people show you who they are, believe them the first time.

5. Worrying is wasted time. Use the same energy for doing something about whatever worries you.

Yes, the FALL is cold to me. I hate it. Well, I shouldn’t say hate, thats too strong of a word. I do like the leaves, Halloween, the cute boots everyone starts to wear, but yea…that’s about it (:

Enjoy the cold wind?
Enjoy bundling up?
Enjoy having a red face?
Enjoy possibly catching a cold?

What I know for sure is..(and believe me, friends and family will agree w/ me) I am not a Fall or Winter person. I complain, I cry, I hate being cold!!! Define cold? ANYTHING UNDER 65 DEGREES. YES, YOU READ IT RIGHT BABY!

Today at lunch, while I was leaving the Sprint store, I had to run & catch up to a woman who dropped her son’s toy. She basically turned around startled when she heard all the tapping going on! lol So yes, What I know for sure is…I Mandy, can run in 3 1/2 inch heels FAST!..... among other things (;

MY FAMILY IS EVERYTHING.

When I’m crabby, who tells me to knock it off? My family.
When I need to cry, who gives me their shoulder? My family.
When I’m laughing my ass off, who’s laughing w/ me? My family.
When I’m hungry, who feeds me? My family.
When I’m proud of myself, who’s prouder? My family.
When I need something, who’s handing it to me already? My family.
When I need a partner, who’s backing me up 100%? My family.
When I need to vent, who’s there to listen? My family.

My family consists of: My kids, My boyfriend, Mama, Papi, brother, sister and all my bestest friends. They mean everything in the world to me. And when I feel like I am nothing, they remind me that I am something. When I feel like giving up, they tell me Not this time, think again. When I feel like letting go, they urge me to hold on tight. What I know for sure is…MY FAMILY IS EVERYTHING. Without them…I’m just little ol boring Mandy. WITH them I am Mama, daughter, sister, best friend, lover…MAGNIFICENT MANDY READY TO CONQUER THE WORLD (:

What I know for sure is…everyone in the world right now, should be reminding their family how much they mean to them, because without them, whoever your family consists of….you may just be little ol boring you. (;

I absolutely love being a Mama. Each day, as I see my girls getting older, it’s getting harder for me to handle. Seems like just yesterday they needed me so much. Now, they have their own agendas. Sure, my 9 yr. old can’t do much independently, but she no longer needs me as much. She doesn’t need help cutting her meat, she’s big now. Doesn’t like for me to keep checking up on her when she’s in the shower, because she wants her privacy. What I know for sure is that being a single Mama was a blessing in disguise. It makes me work harder for them, makes me cherish every second w/ them since I have to work full time and most of all makes feel blessed beyond belief to be responsible for the human beings they are. Kind, funny, giving, smart, creative, unique, and Mine. Mine all mine.
And while I may struggle from time to time, hate my job, hate the bills coming in, and feel stressed out. Not a day has ever gone by where I regretted having my baby girls….and I don’t care if they are 9 and 15..they’ll always always be my baby girls (:
