make a difference in someone's life

Once again through work we are doing the Daffodil Days for the American Cancer Society. Besides ordering the usual bunches I get, this year I purchased the Gift of Hope “10 stems in a vase delivered anonymously to a cancer patient”
I don’t think it will make a difference to someone’s life, but I sure hopes it makes a difference in their day. (:

I met a nice girl online who said what I wrote to her brought tears to her eyes, not to mention she said “I was awesome”. She’s a single Mama who just needed to be lifted up. I just wanted to send her words of encouragement. I’m glad I was able to help and now I have made a new friend. That’s always a good thing (:

it’s nice to be reminded or told that you DO make a difference. This morning I emailed one of my best friends Gelli, told her what I was feeling…that I haven’t done enough for myself (seeking out my dream, taking a business class) I told her I felt like theres just so much more to me and no one realizes it, especially me. I told her last night, I got all my newspaper clippings, pictures, quotes..etc.etc. together because I wanted to make a scrapbook entitled “my book of possibilities” (got the idea from the movie..Last holiday and from the DVD “The Secret”) and here is what she wrote back:

I LOVE YOU SO MUCH MANDY, AND I HAVE TO SAY ONE OF THE REASONS YOU WERE PUT ON EARTH IS TO HELP ME BECOME A BETTER PERSON I SWEAR EVER SINCE I MET YOU I FEEL MORE CONFIDENT EVERYDAY I MEAN I KNOW I HAVE THE STRONG WOMAN IN ME BUT SOMETIMES I NEED A LITTLE PUSH.

I feel like I’m walking on air right now (:
Thanks for pushing me too and always reminding me, that I AM someone who can make it happen if I work at it and believe.
