B.Y.O.Bag Project (A movement to save the environment one bag at a time)

Went to the store this Friday to buy frozen pizzas, chips and drinks for my Daughters sleep over. Only thing was, I forgot my bags. No problem! We had 4 sets of hands at the store, so I nicely declined bagging them up and we all walked out of there, each carrying something. (:

My Mom came over last night and she was taking items she bought from Trader Joes out of her own bags. I looked at her and said..”Excellent Mom! I didn’t know you were using your own bags when you went shopping?” She replied “Where have YOU been, you think you guys are the only intelligent ones?.. Just where do you think you got your smarts from?” (with a wink added)

I’ve actually started doing this a few weeks ago. I already had a big beautiful Frida Kahlo bag and just a few days ago I bought one at Jewel for their “save the environment program” for $1.00. I think its a fabulous idea and wish more people would jump on it. I know my sister has done it for years. The only thing… as my boyfriend pointed out. What are we going to use now to pick up our dog’s waste?? lol
