A Short Guide To A Happy Life 18 months ago

By Anna Quindlen

I never read two books at once, I like to get lost in one and one alone. However, while dusting & straightening my books last night, I came across this small book (47 pages) that I bought a while back. I figured Why not, my other book is at work and I have nothing to do now anyway (: It’s a cute little book with the message being “We have to teach ourselves how to live….really live.

The Guy Not Taken: Stories 18 months ago

320 pages and 11 short stories all in one.

Easy Read. Each day I’d tackle a couple stories, Some were better than others. I do enjoy Jennifer Weiner’s writing, however some of these stories were just blah to me. Oh well…NEXT!

Done! 19 months ago

I Finished this book in less than a week, which surprised me for a 365 page book. But its one of those easy reading books & pretty interesting, although I must confess since it was fiction, I just couldn’t get into it as much as the other books (which were biographies) I’ve read on her. The whole time I kept pondering…did that happen, probably not, I wonder if that happened, maybe not.

Great Find! 19 months ago

Went to a garage sale this weekend and found a house that was selling books for 10 cents! My daughter and I walked out of there w/ about 10 books each. I am a big fan of Frida and have read a few. However, this is a fiction book narrated by her sister. I started reading it yesterday and got quickly into it.

Last week I finished A New Earth Awakening to Your Life’s Purpose.
Did I feel awakened? You betcha!
Fabulous Read.

HOOKED! 22 months ago

“Buddhist writings on greed, desire, and the urge to consume”

How is it possible that Americans spend more for trash bags than 90 of the world’s 210 countried spend for everything? Could it really be true that we have twice as many shopping malls as high schools?

This book grabbed my attention on the first page and already I’m hooked. I too, am no different than the millions of Americans who can’t stop shopping. I would love to learn and appreciate a much simpler life.
