... is the following : Why our apartment complex (450 appartments) has no container dedicated to recycling ? ... so many people live there, and the nearest recycling center is 5 miles away, so most of the people just throw all the stuff together and it ends up in the landfill. I can at least ask my landlords … asking costs nothing.
I have once asked the responsible people in my job if it would be possible to have a recycling bin for non-depositable cans and plastic bottles. They answer that it is an interesting idea one should concider. In three months such a bin suddenly appeared in our atrium. I am not sure wether it was the result of my action or not, but what is more important is that this bin gets completely full every 3-4 days. Let’s see what comes out of this.
