The Top Five!
It feels really good to get things done. Granted, I’m not working off of a written schedule for every day, but there is a general list of priorities and that has made a big difference.
So far, here’s what’s working: keep the list small, so things don’t get overwhelming. I call it The Top Five.
As things get done, old stuff drops off the list and new priorities rotate on to the list. Pretty simple. And I totally need simple in my life! But…I’m not calling this goal achieved until it’s more of a habit, heh.

Last night, just before sleeping, I made a point of writing down 3-4 priorities for today, one with a time limit, a Before 3PM kind of thing, and I’m already feeling more productive. After doing a few items, I knew what I really needed to do, and what could wait until tomorrow. I’m thinking that a before bedtime short list of tomorrow’s tasks might be an easy way to start getting a more organized schedule. Not to mention feeling better about my day in general.

I’m not going for a minute by minute breakdown type of schedule here. I just want to narrow things down to the main priorities for the week and go from there. I can add details after I’ve gotten a regular routine.
I actually have plenty of time in my day, I just have so many things I want to do. I end up pushing back my bedtime to try to do more and then I wake up late the next day because of it. I want to at least feel like I’m getting things done.
