Ok, so this didn’t quite work out the way I planned it, but I like the way it looks.
I also will be away from home for about a year (college + an internship), so how my bedroom looks is a moot point.

I’m stalling. I moved in and finally managed to unpack, so the room looks nice but a bit bland now. On the other hand, I kind of like the empty walls and how spacious it feels because of that.
The doors are done, I’m moving this Saturday, so now I have to think about arranging the furniture.
Started painting the doors and the door frames white. There are 5 doors in my room (balcony door, ensuite bathroom door, 2 closet doors, and the door to the hallway), so that’s quite a bit of work.
I’m painting the doors myself, go me.
Cost: free, since I already had the right kind of paint lying around.
I bought yellow paint from Benjamine Moore (lemon meringue) and hired someone to paint the walls, because if I did it myself, I’d screw it up for sure.
Cost: $55*2 for paint and $120 for work, total: $230
