I have cut back my meat consumption 95% . . . I occasionally flub (had a turkey taco that my roommmate made) but especially when eating out I’ve been making the veggie choice!

Over the last 40 days I have stuck to my goal . . . until yesterday. Had a relapse yesterday at lunch when I craved a meatball sub. Now I feel horrible. :-( But, this is just one step backward . . . I am moving forward with my goal to be all veggie all the time in ‘07!
As time goes by, making the right/healthy choices regarding my diet are getting easier. The upside is that I rarely eat fast food anymore, I go to Trader Joe’s and buy lots of veggies, and I’m trying lots of new foods!
I don’t remember the exact day I stopped (I think it was the Monday after Thanksgiving) but I know it’s been just over a week. I’ve decided to cut out poultry and red meat and allow myself dairy products and seafood for now. Eventually I hope to phase those out too. So far it hasn’t been too hard. Occasionally I get a craving for a burger but not eating meat makes me feel good – like I’m making a difference for myself and the planet.
