go sea kayaking

We went kayaking with “San Diego Hike Bike Kayak Tours” in La Jolla www.hikebikekayak.com/Kayak_Sea_Caves.html . We had such a great time! The weather was perfect – slightly overcast but the water temp was 65 degrees. I wore capri work out pants and a tank top with my bathing suit and was perfectly comfortable. Some people rented wetsuits but I don’t think that was necessary. Do expect to get wet though.

We saw pods of sharks – I think they were called Leopard Sharks. We also saw seals, sting rays, and garibaldi. We got to kayak into one of the larger caves in La Jolla known as “The Clam”.

I would definitely do this again!

The Pants and I are going on Saturday the 26th of May! It’s a two hour guided tour in La Jolla. We are very excited.

The Pants and I have discussed this goal. We’d like to do this on Memorial Day weekend . . . I’m in charge of planning. I’d like to do it at La Jolla Cove – apparently you can take the kayaks into Sea Caves there. Exciting!
