I’ve been reading what other established authors have to say about self-publishing and essentially self-marketing and selling their own books… I’m wondering – now that there are less hurdles to entry (print on demand, social media, available ISBNs if you meet certain qualifications, etc) if that isn’t a good way to exercise some creative control as well as financial sense (and less legal entanglement over creative rights, copyright control). I already have plenty of the necessary financial, marketing & sales skills, and since my original intentions are pretty modest (some cookbooks as gifts, some photography, that sort of thing) – seems like a good, scalable way to start…

And yeah, going to jump on on that madness again. We’ll see howfar along I get this time, ha! But it’s a good healthy push in the right direction.
Which was a cool experience, even thoiugh other things ( oh, you know, that silly old day job!) intervened and I didn’t finish this time around. Doesn’t matter. It energized me to keep plugging away at it. And it’s been fun.
