become a tattoo artist

I got 2 brand new tattoo machines from my tattoo artist!!! I’m sooooo motivated to move forward with this and start my carreer. I’m also enrolled in college trying to get my degree in art so I can be a well rounded artist. I was doubting myself, my art and was sooooo discouraged for so long. But I’m sticking to it. This is my dream and I’m not letting anything get in the way of that anymore. After I finish my summer class my tattoo artist is giving me a power supply! I’m so happy someone is finally giving me a break.

No doubt about it I’ve wanted to do this ever since I was like 11 yrs old. I don’t know how or where to start. Should I try to get an apprenticeship? Should I just say fuck it and just start? I mean I know how to draw I’ve been an artist my whole life but drawing on paper and tattooing something on someone’s body forever are two totally separate things…..maybe I just put too much thought into it…I just want it so bad….I don’t think I’ve ever wanted something so bad in my life.
