I started taking prenatal yoga classes last July with a great teacher, and have gotten to know a good group of women. We had our kids within about a month of each other (I was first), so we eventually transitioned the class to a post-natal focus, and we were all done with our “fourth trimester” by year-end. Lately, I’ve been taking the instructor’s Gentle Yoga class (3x/week), and I’m also trying Pilates 3x/week and doing cardio (treadmill for now) 4-5 times a week. Luckily, my gym has a child watch, so both kids are pretty well taken care of while I do all this.

Still no routine yet, no classes attended. My reading list (mostly for reviews and challenges I’ve committed to) is such that I don’t feel I can fit my Mega Yoga book into the mix. Perhaps after I finish You: On a Diet, I can read a chapter here and there.
I’ll use the next week and a half to get the house to a state that (I’m hoping) will be more manageable-less clutter, furniture rearranged, hot spots under control-to the point that I need to spend only 20 minutes/week on major tidying.
When my husband starts his new job on the 19th, I’m hoping to add exercise to my schedule. Will start with one of my videos/dvds and try for an every-other day practice. On non-yoga days, I’ll be walking again.
I think I’ve added a few dvds to my collection:
back care Yoga for beginners
Basic Yoga Workout for Dummies
Healing Yoga for Aches and Pains
AM and PM Yoga
bought or been gifted some books:
(Collins Gem) Yoga
Mega Yoga
Yoga for Pregnancy
Yoga Journal’s Yoga Basics
om yoga
and noted a few good websites:

[and at least two more trapped on my dead laptop]
Our community education “school” isn’t offering any yoga classes for this term, so I have to expand my search radius. Of course, daycare for Anthony is always a problem, but now that I’m developing a relationship with our neighbor on our south border, maybe we can work out some sort of trade.
