I was introduced to this venerable list when it came out just over a few weeks ago and am happy to see it’s already on 43 things.
I’ve been attacking the newer 2007 edition, which from what I understand hasn’t changed much from the 2006 article KimCheese has linked above. I’m a big time eater and was suprised (read: had some humility kicked into me…) to see that initially I’d only eaten at 17 of the 99. Boo-hiss! Still have a long way to go. At least it’s going to be a fun adventure to accomplish, and not a lame exercise in patience, like say, sitting through all the Western’s on AFI’s 100 list.
