Over the last couple years I’ve spent hours trying to figure out how to sharpen my knives using the wet stone. This week I found one knife really dull and just did a quick sharpen on the wet stone and it was VERY sharp after. I dunno what I’m doing different, but now all my knives are very sharp. It wasn’t practice or anything… maybe it was just necessity.

I sat down to do this a few months ago – got the sharpening stone out and lined up the knives and did my best, but I don’t think I did a very good job. I think if I had some help once, and was really happy with the results, than I’d get it down to a monthly routine and would consider this goal completed.
