:(
Have a new assignment for which I have to be out the door no later than 6:15. Last night I left my phone at the work site. It has the only alarm that is guaranteed to wake me. To make things worse I stayed up late goofing off and chatting with my roommate. I end up waking up at 5:52 and still somewhat out of it. I remember at the last minute too that I still had to go online and submit my timesheet. Given the delays and the heat I made pretty good time on the bike over there, but not good enough.
Nothing for it but to learn from the experience and start over w. a fresh attitude.

Knowing I don’t HAVE to be anywhere is getting me lazy. It could cause problems when I am employed again. From here on I’m going to start making myself a schedule for each day. Not only will I have to perform all the tasks I assign myself, I will have to to them ON TIME (when a time is assigned).

When you’re unemployed and no one is expecting you, it’s easy to be on time.
I was a couple minutes early for a job assignment this morning. I was told that it had been canceled and that I was not needed. 90 minutes of commuting time for nothing. Well, at least it was good practice at getting up early. :/

Having trouble sleeping steadily. Having to get up and move at least once or twice every night doesn’t help, but it’s no excuse for my running late the last two days. Got so panicked I got myself pulled over Wednesday and got tickets I cannot afford.
Some of it is motivation. I need to really fight against inertia, even if I can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel.
So yeah, back to square one.

Trouble keeping on schedule for my census work and workouts. It’s the schedule I set for myself so there’s no clock to punch and that makes it harder to motivate myself. At least I’ve been on time for my primary job for the last couple weeks.

Been doing fine at work. Went to give a friend a birthday dinner and arrived early so I took a nap in the car. Got woken up by her calling me at 3 minutes past 9. Woops.
Sleep will be my downfall. The bitch.
So back on the wagon I go.

On time for work two days in a row. Overslept this morning, but some little panicky part of me dragged me awake in time to throw on some clothes and get going. Almost made it too, but a dump truck had smashed some car on the offramp I usually take and I had to detour (looked like passengers of crumpled car were ok). Ended up being two minutes late. Would have had time to get plenty of sleep tonight as I don’t have to be in until 3 pm tomorrow, but I have errands to run and a long run to attempt. Wish me luck. At least I have Wednesday off and am only on call Thursday.

Barely. I’ve been so bad. Made it to those things I made commitments to with moments to spare. On Thursday I was about 10 minutes early for my appt. to give blood only because it was 15 minutes later than I thought (forgot to set my alarm). So I’ve addressed my tardiness temporarily, but no the disorganization behind it as yet. :(
As an example, rather than making this entry I should be out running and then going to the store to see about getting my phone fixed.

Have to admit I cheated by going to bed by 8:30 and getting up at 5:30. Was actually first time in a week I got a full nights sleep (Not quite better than sex, but close). Still, my goofing off beforehand meant I will have to wait until I get home to change the cat litter and had to skip getting breakfast from Dunkin’ Donuts on the way in. Still, on time is on time. This is such a tough thing for me that I’ll be updating every day for the first week (if I make it that far).
