Most productive week in a long time! 16 months ago

It may seem sad, but I planned out my week on Sunday night, listing all the things that needed doing and attributing them to the days of the week (Monday – Friday).

Now, at the end of the week, there was only one thing that I didn’t complete, so it definitely helped! I decided I’d leave the weekend free for anything I didn’t complete in the week, and if everything’s done, then it’s free time!

I’d recommend this to anyone trying to be more productive with their time, as you can keep checking what needs to be done (I used a piece of paper so I didn’t have to have my computer on all the time) and actually get on with different jobs.

On and off days 17 months ago

Take yesterday for instance, I spend the entire day ticking things off my to do list that I have barely anytime to do anything non-productive. However, today, with little to do, I spend the day being extremely unproductive. Just typical!

There’s the whole balance thing, that I guess if I do most things on a Saturday, my Sunday’s will be less productive, but I want to be busy all the time! It’s not like I don’t have things to do, because my list of goals is quite extensive.

I think it could be a problem with not wanting to start anything too big, encase I suddenly get bogged down in an already started task. Like ‘learning French’ for instance… I need to get some books out, listen to some CD’s and maybe see a few foreign films… I’m not too sure how I’ll combat this feeling of not wanting change, but… well I do want change, but not big change… all a bit too confusing really…



Endless hours on the internet... 18 months ago

I have a real problem with spending hours upon hours browsing the net, and when I’ve finished, I look back and think, what did I get from it?

The internet is a real time waster, so I need to wise up and refrain myself from not surfing so much.

Hopefully turning my computer off before bed will help in making this goal work for me!
