Towards the end, I was struggling to get to 43. But I think it’s an accurate picture.

1. I’m married.
2. My wife and I live with two cats.
3. I love the city in which I live.
4. I once did a stint as a standup comedian named Davis McBain.
5. I’m desperate to record music but can never find the time to do so.
6. I’m employed as a civil servant.
7. I’ve been a non-smoker for nearly two years.
8. I can’t swim.
9. I support several animal charities.
10. I have no brothers, sisters or children.
11. My favourite film is “Once Upon a Time in America”.
12. I detest manufactured pop, opera, gabber, and death metal, but I can listen to, and enjoy, most other music.
13. I know next to nothing about “popular culture”, soap operas or “reality” shows.
14. I’ve achieved two of my three greatest ambitions.
15. I’m very liberal and abhor right wing politics.
16. I help run a local computer club and enjoy helping people solve problems.
17. I love to travel.
18. I’m an atheist.
19. Sarah Michelle Gellar melts me.
20. I appreciate any art which shows effort, regardless of how humble or naive it might appear.
21. I have profound difficulty relating to anyone who has no sense of humour.
22. I hate tomato ketchup.
23. I believe everything is connected and has an effect on everything else.
24. I am deeply interested by asian culture, language, people, music, movies and game soundtracks.
25. I don’t have a driving license.
26. I’m a pacifist and feel uncomfortable around violence.

28. My favourite drink is Jack Daniel’s, or Jim Beam Black, on the rocks.
29. I’m allergic to dogs, guinea pigs and hairy caterpillars, much as I like them all.
30. I hate British “food”, but I love Chinese, Italian, Indian, Greek and Turkish food.
31. I’m a Libran.
32. I have green eyes.
33. The funniest TV series I’ve ever seen is “Fawlty Towers”.
34. The best places I’ve ever visited are Arizona, Wyoming and the Greek Islands.
35. I believe that if we’re not learning, we’re wasting valuable time.
36. I don’t like sport at all.
37. When I see a magpie, I always look for its partner.
38. I love walking in frost and snow.
39. I never used to like spiders until I let a tarantula walk across my hands.
40. I hate snobbery.
41. I was so bored by “Star Wars” that I refuse to watch any others in the series.
42. I prefer red wine to white.
43. The sea makes me feel insignificant.
