learn to cook well

I made awesome brownies the other day, and I really enjoyed making them. They were harder to make than chocolate chip cookies, so I feel like I’ve achieved something!

I’ve never been much of a cook. I get by on the basics, never challenging myself or trying anything new. However, I was over in Gearóid’s house for a weekend recently and we went on a baking spree, and I had so much fun! I made chocolate chip cookies and palmiers, and they turned out quite nice. And the thing is, I love when Gearóid comes up to visit, partially because I get an excuse to cook a nice dinner. So I should cook more, and learn to cook well. It’ll also help my ‘get in shape’ goal as I’ll probably be eating better. Unless I get my hands on Anne’s delicious cake cookbook … oh dear!
