Convert to Judaism

Well..I introduced myself to the synagogue on Friday evening and joined them for service and Oneg. :)

My nervousness quickly subsided and everyone was quite welcoming. It was a true test of commitment- because there were a million reasons I could used to “hold off” on going.. but I didn’t. And actually..I think I just might make this my Friday evening ritual… :)

Rabbi also mentioned that he would give me a few books to read next week! Yay! I like this new productive me.

My Rabbi called me today and invited me to Shul Friday evening… and Saturday morning (for a Bar Mitzvah celebration)

I’m really excited with a dash of nervous! Mostly, because I will be going all by myself. Most converts tend to be dating or in a relationship with a Jew (thus the urge to convert) which then means they have someone to accompany them on their first introduction to a new temple….

I am just going out there by myself.. which I don’t mind.. but I can’t help the.. omg!!! feeling. heh.

But yea, I’m excited. :-p

I finally have connected with a local Rabbi and discussed my views/love for the faith. :) I am not sure why I have hesitated before, but I have… Now I feel so utterly,ridiculously amazing?!

Honestly, following through has never felt so good. I highly recommend finding something you feel strongly about and run to it!
