He came to my side of the lake yesterday for some antique show. He stopped by my neighborhood with his wife and their neighbor and had brunch with me. It was really nice. I’m really really grateful we’re growing a little closer. Things were always so hard before. I can’t wait for MY OWN LIFE to be in a healthier situation so I can be the one making a better contribution to strengthening our relationship.

I’m so distant. I sure don’t know where to start… Life happens and it tends to happen to my whole family – myself included. You’d think just to be sweet and dandy would be the solution, but the family criteria makes it more complex. You have to have an open ear, know when to butt out, be agreeable, be a devils advocate, when to take sides…
Really, practice is the ONLY solution and it is ongoing, so I don’t foresee this goal ever being “done.”
