I finally got out!!! 2 years ago

Well, in April my husband got a call from one of his old friends from Miami and told him that there is a job availble with his company in Florida. It was in the field that my husband was going for school for, so he took it.

We both quit out jobs and moved out in May. This was the hardest part. I didnt even think about the “good byes” before, i just thought “i must get out”. It was really hard to say bye to our family, friends, and even some co-workers.

But we are here now and my husband is loving his new job, and I am currently looking for a job, and i hope one comes soon. I’m actualy wanting to get back into work. The only thing is we are living with his parents untill we save enough money to move out on our own, and I’m starting to feel like they want us out sooner then later.

At least im out of my home town, but sometimes i do miss some of the people and places. So, if you are trying to get out of your home town Good Luck!!! But you may feel home sick for a while after, but thats just a part of growing up.

I hate B-town 2 years ago

Well, i wasnt born here but most of my life was spent here. I was an Army Brat, my dad was in the army and we moved ALOT! then my dad retired and we settled down in his home town (Bakersfield, CA). That was ten years ago. and iv lived here since then.

I met my Husband here after High School and once we got married we promised that we would get outta here. There is nothing more for us here. well, we both have some family here, but most of his family is in Miami, and my family is spred out here on the west cost.

so, the only thing that is holding us back is our jobs. we are really confortable where we are at, but we can do better. And we do not want to settle down here. we want to go to school, and get a house, and someday have a family of our own. I really wouldnt want to raise my kids here.

Now my goal is to get outta here by July. no later than that because it sucks here in the summer. it is very hot and dry, and there is a thing here called vally fever, its from all the dust we breath into our lungs. i have a few friends that have gotten it already and i dont want to get it this year. So wish me luck, and i’ll keep you posted on how its going.
