I haven’t had a proper lucid dream in nearly a year, I think because I’ve stopped writing in my dream diary. Last night’s was on the way though. It was very vivid and seem to last forever. There were times when my dream-self even commented on the strangeness of the dream, comparing it to Alice in Wonderland, and towards the end I consciously trying not to wake up.

I walked around the dream world with a friend, pointing out all things bizarre, such as giant, phallus-like dinosaur clouds. My subconscious is completely depraved. :P
It lasted longer than previous ones as well. Keeping a dream diary has definitely helped.
I’ve had a few lucid dreams but I’m not very good at controling them yet. I always seem to wake up shortly after the realisation, though I have false awakenings regularly. The first lucid dream I had was quite amazing, the moment where I knew I had the freedom to do anything I wanted was one of the greatest in my life… which probably says more about my life than the dream itself.
Also, how can we be sure we’re not simply dreaming of lucid dreaming? Is there a difference?
