go to more concerts

I saw Alison Krauss & Union Station live a couple of weeks ago. It was an outdoor concert and it was amazing. What a voice Alison has!

I recently went to another Will Nile concert. He is such a good song writer and singer. He never fails to amaze me. He sang a lot from his new cd “House of a thousand guitars”. I like them so much that I had to buy the cd that night. I recommend it to all.

I went to a Mark Erelli concert at the University of Hartford on Friday. It was a small venue with seating for about 300 or so. He was very good as usual. He has a great voice and his songs all have meaning. Most are not cheerful, typical of a folk singer. :)

I saw Willie Nile for the third time last weekend. His show was awesome! I really like his music.

I went to see the Saw Doctors yet again. This time it was an outdoor show and I wasn’t too hopeful about the weather since we’ve been having showers just about every day lately. The started out with the song “Will it ever stop raining” and that must have helped since it only rained a little during the entire concert. As usual, they put on a great show and the opening act, Billy Eagan with his band called The Rising was very good too.

I saw Cheryl Wheeler in concert about a month ago. I truly enjoyed myself. Her music was very good and her stories between songs were funny and entertaining.

I went to see the Saw Doctors again last night. They’re such an energetic band! And seeing them on St Patrick’s day (they’re an Irish rock band) made it even better. My ears are still recovering.

I saw Mark Erelli last night. He’s a folk singer from Massachusetts but he tours all over the country. He’s also a song writer and most of the songs he sings are his own. I saw him at a small place called the Vanilla Bean and the seats couldn’t be better. I was on a couch just 10 feet from the stage. He put on a great show!

I went to a Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young concert recently. It was great! They played for over 3 hours with a 20 minute break (probably for a nap.) :) They played lots of their old standards but they also sang quite a few new songs too. They still sound good and they can still harmonize. Neil Young was great too.
Some of his songs (Let’s impeach the President) offended some people but what do they expect at a CSNY concert.
