I’ve been kind of lazy this summer so far. I haven’t been going to the gym but I have been walking and riding my bike on most days. I need to get back to a more active plan though to help with my lose weight goal.



Snow 11 months ago

Well, I’m getting my exercise lately by shoveling out from the snowstorms we’re getting lately. It’s great cardio and it gives me a sense of accomplishment seeing clear walks etc. when I’m done.



Still trying 13 months ago

I’m still working on this. I’m trying to go to the gym at least 3 times a week and I take a walk every day at lunch time. It’s getting harder to do that though with the weather turning colder.



Treadclimber 1 year ago

I did 30 min on the treadclimber today. 2 miles, 475 calories.
I need to keep it up.



Snow Shoeing 2 years ago

I went snow shoeing yesterday. I figure we have all of this snow so I might as well try to enjoy it. It was fun and a good cardio workout. One thing I learned though, don’t try to walk backwards with snowshoes. I fell right on my ass! :)



Joined a gym, 2 years ago

I joined a gym this fall. I try to go to it every day or at least every other day. I’ve been doing 30 minutes on the tread walker and using the machines every other day for strength training. I feel quire a bit better and I’m sleeping a lot better.

I went for a 12 mile bike ride on the local bike trail. I need to do that more often.



My left arm 2 years ago

got plenty of exercise this past weekend. Those beer mugs really get heavy! I was really doing research on another of my goals, “find the perfect beer”.



Walking 2 years ago

I’m walking at least 2 miles a day now. And I hope to increase that as the weather gets nicer and I get into better shape. At first it seemed like a chore but now I look forward to my walk every day.



BIKING 2 years ago

The weather was nice this weekend so I decided to take a bike ride. I put the new bike rack that I got for my birthday on my car and went to a nearby bike path. I rode for about an hour which was just about right for my first ride of the season. I’ve also been trying to walk at least 2 miles a day. Hopefully this will help in my “lose weight” goal.
