I have a crush on a boy. Only by “boy” I mean “man with real, grown-up job and who is respectful and tasteful.”
It’s still so much fun, I don’t know a better feeling!

Yesterday I quit my job making $30,000 straight out of college because I wasn’t happy. And I know I probably won’t be able to find another job that pays so well immediately, and I know there were other great benefits, but the benefits weren’t enough to make me happy 45 hours a week and I’m too young to not be happy during the day, damn it.
So I’m trying to find another job now. Ones I am considering:*I was a bridesmaid in my friend’s wedding
*I’m going to a Pearl Jam concert…the night before my first day of my first grown-up job
*I went with my BFF to Emerald Pointe waterpark on a moment’s notice
*I’m throwing s blow-out party, the first at the new house, on a work night!
I attacked my best friend from behind with Silly String.
Do I regret it?
Absolutely not.
Tonight, Em and I traveled to Duke University to see my friend David perform in defMo which is an amazing dance movement. He even choreographed a bit of it, and I was blown away. When David and I knew each other, he was young and goofy and sort of nerdish, and then I saw him a few years later in high school and he had turned into a veritable hunk-o’-burnin’-love. Now, seeing him as this gorgeous man, and a man who can move his body in the ways that he did tonight…it was unbelievably sexy. I was amazed.
Today, I met former President [and personal idol] Bill Clinton. CARPE PRESIDENTUM, I say!
Tonight there was a full lunar eclipse. My friends arranged somehow to secretly have ALL the public lights turned off in the dorm for the duration, and they blasted THE PLANETS’ SUITE, which is a great symphony with this really epic music that was perfect for the event. We lay on the ground in the courtyard with the music blaring and watched the eclipse and drank and laughed. It was nothing short of perfect and I will always remember this night, because it really captures what my college is (used to be…is supposed to be) about.
...had my heart broken, gotten arrested, attended a wine tasting, written a great resume, seen several plays, drunk an entire bottle of champagne by myself, gotten a tattoo, stood up for myself, stood up for someone else, had a job I adore, made the decision to take time off before graduate school, stayed in on a Friday night.
