Yay, finally got one today! Got the Paragard. Boyfriend was happy. We had some great sex, even though I’m still crampy. Hope the pains are gone tomorrow. 10 years of worry-free contraceptive—whoo!

If I can’t get one in December when I go into Albuquerque, I’m going to give up, and I guess I’ll be stuck with an alternative form of contraceptive that displeases me.
difficulty in procuring an IUD.
I have to wait until November 1st to talk to someone at the nearby health clinic to try to convince them to give me an IUD. I understand the side effects. I heard that the hormonal one can give you acne. Is that true? I thought it was uterine-specific.
I would much prefer a tubal ligation.
