I had a few minutes to spare and looked around at the sale clothing in Dillards today….and there was a beautiful skirt…it was me! It fit. I bought it. It looks good with the sandals that I have already. I have a blouse I can wear too…but I want to find a teeshirt instead. A crinkle fabric ..beautiful small geometric print of browns, blues, lavender, green.

I tried on a cute skirt at Penney’s today…on sale for very inexpensive ($7.48). Still the legs/shoes problem.
I also tried on a pair of shoes at Dillard of all places. But they were like sandals, and what I need is some shoes for fall and winter. Shoes are as bad as skirts.
Definitely have to go with longer, casual skirt, just below calf maybe. Need to look at pictures of what kind of shoes women wear with these skirts.
This is what happens when you have worn jeans (I love jeans) for the last 35 years). For me, wearing twill pants (Dockers-type) was a step out, although I love them too now.
Since I have suddenly begun to enjoy shopping, I tried on a skirt (and matching top). It fit great, looked okay…but what about my legs? and what kind of shoes do I buy? These have to be dealt with first before I can buy a skirt. I hate shoe shopping – I wear a size somewhere between a 10 and 11.
I actually tried on a dress at Walmart today. Didn’t buy, but it was a possibility. Just an “around the house” dress.
