make magic a constant part of my life

i use the word “magic” every day…everything to me is magical….LIFE is magic

LOVE is magic

existence, for better or for worse, i’m guessing for better (i HOPE for better) is magic

i hope to live by this creed for the rest of my time on (ha, and off) this planet

to figure out how i like to do my rituals…i used to have to do them by books, by internet pages

for mid-summer, everything was so much more casual, and thus more powerful…not casual as in blase, but casual as in less stress…i was able to put more of msyelf into everything i did…

it was primarily food magick that was made…and i gave some food to the fae, which i have neglected to do for a long time

the night was a celebration, utterly

there are about a bajillion essays and writings all about magic, the occult, ritual, etc. here

it’s gonna take me forever to read through all of this!

1) thanking my food…i’m mostly vegetarian (mostly, because i eat seafood), but i like to thank my food before i eat it…life is life, sentient or no, and to live on this planet means taking life in order to do so…so i try to make a ritual of drawing a pentagram over my food, thanking the food, and then thanking the gods for the food

2) showering consciously…i start with my legs and feet and work my way up to my head, making an affirmation for each part of my body as i do so…for example: “feet, so that i may tread lightly on the eart” “ears, so that i may hear truth only” etc.

so while i’ve been negligent with the sabbats, at least i can get myself into the habit of ritual with these two things

She came to me this weekend, in a beautiful form, water on glass, shadow on light.

She spoke to me and let me dance for her, and then I watched her leave gracefully.

He waited until we were hugging in the field, under the stars, under the light of Her moon. They both came then, and the stars winked and talked and danced.

believing, trusting magick…one of the hardest things a rationally conditioned person can do…i’ve been able to read energies again…something i denied myself for a long time…my accuracy is getting better…

i’m hoping to do an impromptu and belated mabon ritual sometime this week…keeps fingers crossed
