for the most part, i don’t find alcohol to be benificial to the psyche…however in the right quantities i always feel way more confident about telling people how gorgeous they are…if they’ve also had a bit to drink, they seem to be way more likely to respond positively, smiling, eyes sparkling
this happened last night when one of the most luminous females i’ve seen in a long time stepped into the room…i told her to her face that she was gorgeous and she actually took the compliment!!!!

ahhh! my eye!!!
but seriously.
it’s amazing what mindset does. i read the magician’s nephew not too long ago, and C.S. Lewis makes a huge point that those with closed minds close themselves off to radiant beauty. beauty that evokes unconditional love…too often are we shallow.
“oh GOD look at her THIGHS! get off the burgers, fatty!”
nevermind that she had cobalt blue eyes that spoke of midnights near waves.
the rush of wind,
the poetry that makes her life bearable.
“ugh, why is he WEARING that?? he’s never going to get laid!” nevermind that those clothes cloak a body that dances, loves and aches. nevermind his skin smells like honey and spices. nevermind he’s a sculptor who worships clay with his hands.
i wonder sometimes if people fear finding beauty in others. is it a pride thing? self esteem? i always feel more comfortable in my own skin when i see the glow of others shine through.
we are beautiful by default. it’s only psychological tactics from who knows where or what that prevent us from realizing this.

people rarely realize their own beauty, their own divinity. every person on this planet is made of light. it is not an exaggeration to say that there is beauty in all of us. it’d be nice to help people who don’t realize this, know it for certain.
