this is going to be a LOOONG term goal for me…..

i have a few soft spoken friends that i just run OVER when it comes to conversation…at least i’m at the stage where i’m recognizing my intense need to tell them EVERYTHING

i recently practiced this goal with one of my more soft spoken friends and was delighted by all the things he was able to tell me :) a nice shift.

need to work on this more

i sort of lost sight of it a while back and i’m constantly noticing myself interrupting people in the middle of their sentences…i’m turning into an ass

also i remember there being a quote somewhere that basically said “in conversation, are you listening, or just waiting for your turn to speak”

definitely need to work harder on this goal

i have this problem particularly on the phone..i tend to wanna talk talk talk and sometimes end up talking over people. i’ve been trying to remain conscious of this and it’s been working out great! my mom talked more than i did today on the phone :) a first to be sure.
