Fluidline

And 2 years later, I change my mind about eyeliner! Love it. I wear it on my free days, my days off work. Even if I’m staying home. This has definitely made me get better at it. I can now walk around with a decent looking cat eye!

I still don’t have the confidence to wear it to work. You know those people who like to point out every single difference they see in you? Yeah, I have one of those at work, so when I do finally wear eyeliner to work, it will have to be perfect.

I am loving my Mac Fluidline gel liner and my sephora brush, but I do feel the product lacks shine.

Now to combat false lashes. Everything looks better with eyeliner, and I just realised that! I can do the individuals better than the full set. I feel like I look silly with those, as the so-called “natural” ones are just so…there! But again, it’s going to have to be a whole lot of applying and removing before I get it right.

When I first moved to France, I wore no make up. I bought my first mascara when I was 24, and it was a clear one! Then I moved onto the black one. But even then, I didn’t wear it everyday. I would have people say “You don’t wear make up?” but I still persisted with my not-madeup-face, thinking I looked just beautiful without it.

I’m sad to say I have crumbled and fallen victim to these people. I started feeling like it looked like I didn’t care to make myself look pretty. For a while now I have been wearing mascara everyday, and now feel like I look strange without it.

Apparently

Apparently practice does make perfect! I look decent!

Eyeliner...

...is a bitch that won’t cooperate with me. I can’t, I just can’t!

Slowly but Surely...

I finally got the lipstick shade I wanted; it’s nude. And looks so good! But since I like it glossy I worry what will happen when someone kisses me…hmmmm.

I can do my top inside eyelids, but can’t figure out how to apply liner on the outer part of the top eyelid, just above the eye lashes.

Either way, I got my powder foundation, (part) eyelids, mascara, concealer and lipstick figured out! Yay!

Starting

Taking it one step at a time. I never used to wear make up (except mascara, which I put on every day) because I didn’t need it. And because I knew nothing about what could suit me. Now I want to wear it when I go out at night, just to look a little different from day time.

I’ve bought the basics (finally!) and looked pretty good this past Friday. Did the concealer, foundation, mascara and my eyes. Next step is lipstick.

Practice really does help. I try to practice my eyes every morning before I take a shower. The eyes are the hardest for me.
