the task master and over achiever of all time. This is going to be a bit difficult for me to achieve when I’m home for a while. My goals and ideals differ QUITE a bit from those of my mothers. She’s a huge influence in my life, not to mention a personal hero. We just do things VERY differently. I need to figure out how I can please both of us at once. I know many of you will say “You need to please yourself first” and I challenge with a ” You’ve never met my mother!” She always has the best intentions for my “given goals” I just can’t run on a mach 3 speed at all times like she’s taught her self to do.
It just seems like everyone has my life figured out for me lately, but I’m not sure it’s ACTUALLY the correct way of going about my business. I’m too old to use the all to familiar retort ” It’s my life, I’ll do as I please!” It’s not that I think we have a completely contradictory stance on my life, I’m just not amazing with being consistently told what and what not to do. I just figure that I’ll pick my proverbial battles as they arise. I just know that I will have NO down time once I move. It’s a bit overwhelming to think about but I hope that I can power through. As long as I get a job (or 3) immediately when I get home I should be save from long and drawn out conversations about my aspirations. I doubt it though! :)

I’m making serious head way in this goal. It’s much more of a life goal, than it is a task to be completed and crossed off life’s proverbial list. I have not gone out and partied at all, and instead have painted the jeans I need to have done by the 18th, and I’m also getting around to cleaning the horrible mess I’ve made for myself this month. As long as I can get this place tidied up by Thursday night, I can then go out and see my friends who are playing in town… I REALLY want to go, but I know it will make me feel better if I have completed these tasks before taking a break. Rewards seem sweeter when you’ve accomplished what you’ve set out to do, and to the best of your ability! YAY!
