Don't think I am going to make it this year either.... 2 years ago

4 The Bourne Legacy by Eric Van Lustbader

Not nearly as good as the previous books – the worst “ghostwriter” of R. Ludlum

5 The Bourne Betrayal by Eric Van Lustbader

I don’t know why I read another book by this guy, I was disappointed by the last one he did… but I still wanted to see what happened. THE WORST BOOK of the year!!! I realize that Robert Ludlum is dead, but other books of his have been written or completed with other people. This guy writing this one had no clue and so much of the intimateness with the cold war era as well as the feel of a spy novel and how one is supposed to read. I didn’t even bother giving this book away. This stupid book would be better off as fire kindling.

6 – Teeth of the Tiger by Tom Clancy

It was ok… blah

  1. 7 – The Scarlatti Inheritance – Robert Ludlum
It was good. Not my favorite.

8 – The Matarese Circle – Robert Ludlum

Entertaining

9 Into the Wild — Jon Krakauer

I have meant to read this for quite some time, but since the movie was coming up, I thought I would get on it. It was really short and a relatively easy read, but still one of the best books I have read this year.

10 – SM 101: A Realistic Introduction by Jay Wiseman

:) Enough said

11 – Thoreau’s Walden

I read it once a year. I’m a dork, I know.

Currently Working on – Alexander Hamilton… I doubt I will finish it by the end of the year though. It always seems to take like 10 months or so to fully complete one of these large history books. LOL.

#3 Don't Judge Me.... Hahaha 2 years ago

The Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands by Dr. Laura

- Now I am by NO MEANS the kind of person to read this book. But I was having some bumps in my marriage and a friend bought it for me and I promised to read it. All I can say it wasn’t a COMPLETE waste of time. But things are better at home so maybe I got something from it….

#2 - Dearly Devoted Dexter 2 years ago

I personally didn’t like it as much as the show on Showtime. He describes himself with things like Dutiful Dexter and Dearly Devoted Dexter – and in the book he seems to be more of a pansie. But it was a good heads up of the ideas on what should be coming for season 2!

Now, I am woring on The Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands by Dr. Laura.

Don’t laugh – there is some nuggets in there – underneath the Nazi-No-It-All deamanor. ;)

Started again... 2 years ago

I failed for 2006. So I am beginning here with 2007.

I actually finsighed one book so far -

1) The Paris Option – Robert Ludlum
Quite a good read, if you like Ludlum’s books – you know the guy who wrote the Bourne Identity and such?

Here’s to a new year, and restarting with a goal from last year!

Carry on!

The year is almost over... 3 years ago

And I am looking that I will fail miserably at this goal…
sigh

3 so far 3 years ago

1. Red Dragon (again)
2. V for Vendetta
3. Circle Round (Starhawk)

still working on Team of Rivals….

Team of Rivals 3 years ago

I am working on Team of Rivals, about the presidency of Abraham Lincoln. It is very good, but a THICK history book. This might set me back.

Maybe I can compensate… do graphic novels count? LOL. I am also reading V for Vendetta again, before the movie comes out.
