Volunteer at a wildlife center

I would eventually like to have a career working with wildlife, helping with the rehabilitation of wildlife populations and habitats throughout the U.S.

I would very much like to go back to college to work toward this goal, but at the moment that isn’t pheasable; rough financial situations over the passed year have landed me in a bit of debt which I intend to pay off before I cut my work hours to go back to school.

I figured since I’m not going to school I might as well do something to get some experience! Turns out there are a number of wildlife refuges/rehabilitation centers not too far from where I live. At the moment my work schedule doesn’t allow much extra time, but once it does I’d really like to volunteer at one of the centers around the area.
