I was always sure that what I ate had an effect on my mood but I never really knew just how much. So I’ve narrowed it down, it takes about a couple weeks for a bad diet/not eating to catch up with me and plummet my mood and luckily rectifying the situation can improve my mood within a couple days to a week depending on what it is I’m eating. I’m gonna have to watch my diet a little more closely

This morning I’m gonna work on my database of healthy foods. It’s a list of all veggies, fruits, grains, legums…. and their nutritional content :D

Progress  — 3 months ago

So although I’m failing every few days at the vegan thing, the fails are less and less epic and less and less frequent :D. My eating habits in general have improved greatly although the passed week I’ve lapsed from lack of motivation to bring a lunch to work.

Will persevere :D

Rainbow Foods  — 6 months ago

So I’m considering becoming vegetarian or vegan again. The only thing that still holds me back is the fact that I’m anemic and can’t hold on to iron very well. Today I’m heading out to Rainbow Foods and the bulk barn to do some shopping like I used to. It’s been several months since I’ve done anything like that. I’ve been so down in the dumps for the past little while, mostly since Joe left me.

Time to start up again. I have to re-define myself and be the person I want to be; and I want to be healthy, I want to eat healthier!! And not waste food anymore!

I just read Fast-Food Nation and was utterly disgusted by the slaughterhouses and the policies taken by coorporations. In addition to that I’m becoming much more drawn to my spiritual beleifs in Buddhism and I think I’m going to attempt a healthy vegetarian diet. Any suggestions from other healthy eaters?
