I ordered a bunch of books from the library and they all came in at the same time, so I now have a whole bunch of books to read. Pretty much all science books, lots on math and physics. I don’t know if I’ll manage to read them all within 3 weeks, but I’m sure trying :D. So far the two I’m working on are “Becoming a Buddhist Nun” and “Quantum: a guide for the perplexed”, So far, two very good and informative reads :D

So I posted a question a little while back on philosophical reads and was wonderfully surprised to get several suggestions. I ordered a few and am getting ready to settle in a read “Man’s search for meaning”. is excited
I will post updates on the progress of this read. Oh and I finally finished The Third Chimpanzee and am almost done “The Hole in the Universe”. I want to get started soon on “Warpped Passages”.
Alrighty off I go :D
I know I’m horrible!! I started a new book last night but will hopefully be done today or tomorrow. I started reading Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse. It’s a very short book. Today I’m off to the library to see what they have in philosophical reads because I want to isolate myself for a week and just read a bunch of essays/texts on philosophy and get myself better acquainted with the subject. I will update when I get back :D
1. Guns, Germs and Steele * Jared Diamond -> (unread)
2. Collapse * Jared Diamond -> (unread)
3. The Third Chimpanzee * Jared Diamond -> (Reading)

2. The Hole in the Universe * K. C. Cole -> (Reading)

4. The Game * Neil Strauss -> (Reading)
5. American Gods * Neil Gaiman -> (Reading)
6. America Alone * Mark Steyn -> (Reading)
7. Warped Passages * Lisa Randall -> (Reading)
I think that’s the list of my current reads. Hopefully in a couple days I can have that list knocked down a bit seeing as how a few of those books have only a chapter or so left, that I just can’t bring myself around to finishing.
Well, I’ve started reading more books, but so far my problem is finishing them!! I’ve got so many books that I’ve started but I just lose interest just over half way in. I need to find a way to keep that momentum going straight through till the end!

My cousin gave me one of the ‘self-help’ books and I finished reading it the other day. it’s called ‘the four agreements’ by don miguel. It was pretty good and I really liked it. I had been spending lots of time knitting/quilting so reading that book got me back into reading before bed and now I’m back into Steppenwolf by Hermann Hesse and I’m passed the midway point now. I must say the first little bit of the book was terribly difficult to understand but now it’s going along quite smoothly and I will hopefully be done within the next couple days so that I can start on a new book :D
