spend more time with my kids

I haven’t gone skiing for over 15 years…and my wife has been very nervous about kids going. But, this weekend we finally went for our first trip. We went to Sol Vista, which is an incredible place to go as a family. The kids were in lessons for 2 days and then I got to ski with them for a few runs on the last day. It was great! Now if I can just figure out how to afford more trips…

My son and I went to the Rockies game Saturday night, just us boys. The Rockies lost again, unfortunately, but we had a great time. Some ball park dogs for dinner, lots of snacks and a good time talking about everything.

Went and saw the movie with the kids today and then had dinner. Just me and the kids; it was nice to be out with both of them like this. The movie was really good too!

I borrowed a projector from work and last night we watched Harry Potter #3 on the driveway last night. Kind of like a drive-in, but on our own driveway instead! The picture was about 10 feet tall, filling up the entire garage door. We hung a sheet over the door so that it was easy to see. A few of the neighbors joined us and it was a good time. Hopefully something they’ll remember for a while. :)

We bought one of those moveable basketball hoops a week ago and it’s been raining/snowing since then…until yesterday! Spent some time with the kids after school and after dinner just shooting baskets. Had a great time and got everyone off of the couch!

The kids’ school had a “Donuts with Dad” this morning and I was able to go. It was great to spend time with them, see their friends, and get a sugar high together. My daughter had an Earth Day assembly immediately following and I was able to see her perform her part as well. Good start to the day!

I took a few days off last week to catch the end of the kids’ spring break. We went to Monkey Business and played around one afternoon, played some games, saw a movie, definitely worth the time away from work!
