We’ve been doing good with Quicken and making sure everything gets tracked. We’ve been able to use that to keep from overspending our paychecks. But I’m still struggling to find the time to review things and create any sort of ‘status’ report that we can review together….someday.

Created a budget 4 years ago

Created a budget in Quicken last week for all of our expenses. I’m still not happy with how Quicken tracks things; it wanted to include all of my withholding from paychecks, etc. Makes things too complicated. I think I got things where I want them; hopefully reporting how we did at the end of the month is easy!

I know where I stand 4 years ago

Finally got everything into Quicken over the weekend and I know where everything stands. Now I know how much money I have available to pay off the credit cards, which cards to pay first, etc. Woohoo!
