For me, the big thing that seems to be effective in helping me let go is by keeping myself occupied (working out, church activities, etc). Also, I have been trying to remind myself of the things she would do or say that just totally turned me off. Remembering those things are the ammunition to letting go.

Come to think of it, could getting over someone be purely psychological? I think it’s all in the mind. I think I’ll start working on training my mind to think what I want and to not think what I don’t.
I woke up today and you know what? Today is going to be an awesome day just by myself, without the ex. In fact, had I still been with her, I probably would be feeling angry right now or something from arguing so much. For once and for all, I get to be thankful for the abundance of peace being single has availed me. I know one thing for sure and that is I want to put in the work in my next relationship to keep my loved one happy. Love never fails, and neither will I.
....and now is the time for me to leave the past behind me as far as my ex goes. I need to move forward in my life and find the right woman for me. My challenge has been to keep myself fully occupied in the present and lately have been quite effective. I know I have the courage deep within to totally let go. Wow, I really like this website!!
